TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER
Advanced Public Safety is seeking a Technical Project Manager to coordinate software implementation by analyzing and documenting client requirements and contributing to system design specifications. The Technical Project Manager is responsible for creating project plans (which define statement and scope of work) for small to medium size projects, tracking progress against defined milestones and regularly communicating status to external/internal customers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Windows, handheld technologies and mobile computers and have excellent communication and documentation skills. Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical education and/or technical work experience
- Strong technical knowledge of Windows, handheld technologies, mobile computers and web based applications
- Project Management experience leading projects and interfacing with IT and Business departments, or liaison role between IT and Business/Sales
- Ability to estimate project effort and coordinate staff and resources
- Application Development experience in a PM, Business Analyst and/or QA role, where functional/technical requirements were required as work output, as well as daily interaction with
Development staff
- Ability to work closely with clients to analyze and document specific requirements
- Process Improvement experience, or experience working in a process-minded organization
- Highly developed communication/presentation skills, ability to explain technical software and provide solutions in layman terms
- Ability to gain superior knowledge of all APS software functionality
- Ability to contribute to software specifications and project plans
- Superior organizational skills, including multi-tasking experience, ability to prioritize tasks and stay focused on priorities
- Experience in a customer-facing role, where the expectation was the role was responsible for representing the customer in all facets of implementation/support
- Prior experience with a CRM preferred (Salesforce preferred)
