Hillard Heintze Announces
Strategic Relationship With Advanced Public Safety
CHICAGO, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Hillard Heintze, LLC today announced that they
have been retained as strategic advisors to Advanced Public Safety, Inc. (APS),
a wholly owned subsidiary of Trimble (Nasdaq: TRMB )
located in Deerfield Beach, FL. The alliance provides APS the ability to leverage
Hillard Heintze's 62 plus years of law enforcement, national security and leadership
experience.
"We are pleased that Hillard Heintze has aligned with APS. Their experience in
the law enforcement sector is highly respected and we look forward to working
with them to introduce our technology to additional public safety agencies nationwide," said
Advanced Public Safety CEO, Jeffrey Rubenstein.
Advanced Public Safety, Inc. ( http://www.aps.us )
is a leading software development company creating targeted,
innovative technology solutions specifically designed to
address the challenges of today's public safety agencies.
APS provides voice technologies, electronic forms/reporting
applications, handheld solutions, and AVL/GPS/Mapping software
to assist law enforcement and fire/EMS agencies. In addition,
APS provides offender tracking and data analysis solutions
to jail, corrections, and parole agencies. APS technology
is currently used by approximately 20,000 officers across
North America.
"Having led the nation's second largest police
department, I was fortunate to have a team that recognized
the value of incorporating innovative technology to help
protect our police officers and improve services for the
citizens of Chicago," said Terry Hillard. "APS offers technology
solutions for increasing productivity, accuracy and officer
safety, and I am excited about the opportunity to introduce
these state-of-the-art solutions to my colleagues in law
enforcement."
"In our public service careers, we witnessed
first hand the devastating impact criminal probationers
and sexual predators inflicted on our nation's innocent," commented
Arnette Heintze. "With the solutions developed by APS,
our nation's crime fighters now have a new cost-effective
alternative for electronically monitoring probationers
and linking their location to crime events -- a key capability
for reducing crime and protecting the public."
APS has begun working with Hillard Heintze
to develop targeted strategies, which are expected to expand
the use of the APS technologies throughout the public safety
industry. Most recently, APS was awarded a State of Florida
contract for integrating crime data information with the
movements of tracked sex offenders -- as required by the
new Jessica Lunsford Act. This solution is expected to
be operational statewide in early 2006, making Florida
the first state to deploy this type of data analysis application.
Hillard Heintze will assist in familiarizing other states
and major law enforcement agencies across the country with
this significant, new crime-fighting technology.
